News: Busch Gardens Williamsburg performs height test

Posted at 3:37 PM EST (2037 GMT)

Mar. 4th, 2006 -- It is not certain whether or not Busch Gardens Williamsburg performed a test to simulate the height of a new attraction, but it is known that the park was granted permission by the James City County.

James City County gave Busch Gardens permission to fly a balloon for about four hours on Feb. 24. The balloon was to be "exended from the location of the future expansion," said a news release from James City County.

The structure the test was for is expected to be 210 feet tall and is part of a park expansion, the news release said.

For more information, visit James City County.

No other information is known. It is not known when the park will make an annoucement, nor is it known what year this expansion will occur.
