Wichita's Joyland amusement park has been closed since 2004, but new owners of the property say a $40 million long-term renovation plan can turn around the struggling park's fortunes. The long-term plan includes a waterpark and resort hotel, but the T-Rex Group hopes the people of Wichita will support the project. They are hoping that the American Coaster Enthusiasts will help with the restoration of the park's historic Roller Coaster, and will be meeting with Chance-Morgan Rides and insurance representatives to see which rides should remain at the park or be removed.
