I don't see how this is supposed to make things clearer to the general public.
Oh, let's go to Busch Gardens Europe! It must be in Amsterdam somewhere.

That's exactly what I thought, Wes. Someone posted a trip report to BGE, and I thought there was a new park in Europe!
I guess the Busch parks change names every seven or eight years. They used to be called The Old Country and The Dark Continent.

I had been wondering why everyone around here was calling the parks BGE and BGA lately.

They just started showing the commercials on TNT and on the local stations here, and I seen the billboard on I-95,they even changed that to reflect the change.

I saw the ad for dual parks a week ago. I guess people use the new abbreviations to be politically correct. I used it once already but I think they suck. I will revert to traditional talk. It's still correct and easy to use.

I refuse to call BGT as Busch Gardens Africa. Heck, my internet alter ego is "BGTBBum" (Busch Gardens Tampa Bay Bum). Sounds corny, but its my identity.
Or, just say what funny Theme Park Review Wes would say;
Busch Gardens Tamprica
Busch Gardens Euroburg.

I'd heard about this the other day. I always kind of fancied the Old Country and Dark Continent names. I'm not sure the public will be more aware of anything at all based on the new names, but everybody loves a new marketing campaign.

Meh, I'm still going to call them BGW and BGT. :D Although BGE and BGA seem more theme fitting.

I think Busch Gardens Europe and Busch Gardens Africa sound misleading.
If they had to change names, I'd rather they go back to "The Old Country" and "The Dark Continent".

BGT is way better than BGA. I mean, come on, its in Tampa, not Africa for crying out loud. What's next? Is Six Flags going to change their names to better fit what the park is? No, and I do understand that Busch Gardens is a zoo as well (I was there last year, although a few months before Sheikra was finished). That's just dumb to me.

The new names suck. There was no reason to change the name. People are just going to get confused.

I didn't see this coming. Oh well. It really doesn't affect me though.

I loved The Dark Continent title, and The Old Country suited it well also. BG Tampa had little thought in it's name but neither does calling it Africa. A nick name for Africa would have been cool to use, but oh well. It's going to take quite a while for me to get used to these new names.

Wow...how LAME! Why?! Busch Gardens "Tampa" & "Williamsburg" sound FINE! No reason to change them.
I am still going to call them by their original names.

That is going to cause so much confusion over here in Blighty - we are very slow over here, I can see it now.
- So sir, here are your tickets for Orlando, are you visiting that parks?
- Yes, we are going to Disney
- Oh, would you consider going to Busch Gardens Africa?
- [Head explodes]
Still under the old name in next years brochures, and will be in the meames house and for anybody who asks.

I really don't see any need for the new names. I personally like BGT & BGW alot better. No big deal. I'll still call them BGT & BGW

Although the name change will cause for confusion for a given period of time, I think this is a move for the better - Anheuser Busch parks have recently been going on a huge campaign to bring new direction, appearance, and distinction to their parks -- which is something that will bring new attention and influx of visitors nationwide -- hell, I live in Southern California on the opposite side of the country from the two Busch Gardens parks, yet recently, I've been seeing so many commercials from those two parks. The whole "new look and angle" campaign all first started with the SeaWorld Adventure Parks a few years back.
