News: Cedar Fair leaves possibility of move to Charlotte open

Jun. 14th, 2006 -- Cedar Fair has a tough decision ahead for them.  Leave their headquarters in Sandusky, OH where they have been since 1870 or move to Charlotte, NC the current home of Paramount Parks.

While many experts see this as an easy decision for Cedar Fair, the company has left the possibility open.  Paramount Parks currently occupies an entire floor in an office park building in Charlotte.

Cedar Fair is evaluating the lease, as well as the possibility of having Charlotte as a satellite office.

City officials in Sandusky are not taking any chances though, quickly attempting to mend any hard feelings between themselves and the company. 

While the office for Cedar Fair only employs just over 20 people, losing the office to Charlotte would be seen as a symbolic loss to the city.
At this point Cedar Fair is still evaluating the office in Charlotte and will make a decision soon.
