Jun. 23rd, 2006 -- After suffering damage from hurricane-force winds from a thunderstorm three weeks ago, Bell's Amusement Park is expected to reopen next week. The Ferris Wheel was destroyed beyond repair, and some supports on the Zingo roller coaster needed to be replaced after being split. Park president Robby Bell has been working with state inspectors to ensure the rides are safe to operate again. The other rides in the park were not seriously damaged in the storm.
