After three years of fundraising and planning, the Hard Rock Park is ready to break ground July 13 at 10 a.m. at the 55 acre-site off US 501 in Fantasy Harbor. Construction will begin shortly after the ground breaking.
The $400 million park will be the largest tourism investment in South Carolina history and plans are to open in 2008. Gov. Mark Sanford and Chad Prosser, director of the S.C. Parks, Recreation and Tourism department are scheduled to attend the ground breaking. For more information on this story please visit The Sun News.
