Not a good week, huh? People really need to start paying closer attention to their own health and safety. I find it hard to believe this was a spontaneous thing. I'm sure this person had high blood pressure or other signs of an impending heart attack/condition. Of course, nothing has officially been released about his cause of death. It's sad when something like this happens. No one wants to witness or experience this when at a theme park for the day.

It certainly hasn't been a good year for the amusement industry.

Let's not forget that while more detailed information has not been released....that doing anything in life can be risky. He could have died whether he was driving, a kid plops into his lap, or other health issues (ie high blood pressure et al).

Unfortunately, it has been a rough year for the amusement park industry. I bet we could take just about ANY line at just about ANY park and find some reason to deny every single person a ride. Statistically, even with health risks figured in, coasters are still incredibly safe...this is nothing more than rough luck industry wide.

After all....let's see... my blood pressure is a bit high, I am a little bit overweight, I have had back problems before....there are so many reasons why most people could be turned down, so lets not forget that just because of this unfortunate event, for most people, this is not a major issue and this is nothing more than a blurb on the radar of the amusement industry.

Like I said, before, this has been a crazy year for the industry,in general. The report even made it to our Fox station here. And now,my mother's worried about me riding coasters. I just told her that they are safe.
