Posted at 10:16 AM EDT (1416 GMT)

Jul. 31st, 2006 -- Hong Kong Disneyland is expected to fall short of its goal of 5.6 million guests before the theme park's one year anniversary in September.

Company insiders say the park has just pulled in over 5 million guests and an avergae of 18,000 per day, just about half of the park's capacity. Hong Kong Disneyland has been criticized for being expensive while not having very many attractions.

I am not surprised by the park not reaching it's attendance goal. I am however, surprised that the park reached just over 5 million if it is supposed to be expensive and have minimal attractions and everything.
