Why do they need a special day? They have a special dress code, prayer area, and dietary laws? You know, orthodox Judaism has all of those things, and I don't see anybody jumping to give them a special day.
Oh no, I must be a racist.

Bad business on Alton Towers part, yeah I guess they wanted to fll the park when its probably lower in attendance but you could isolate alot of people with this.
If you read more about a wedding had been scheduled that same day and they would of had to of changed it. Bad press day for Alton Towers.

Did anyone else laugh at the fact that they were calling it "Muslim Fun Day."

Nobody gave the Jews a fun day because they never asked for it. The Muslims asked the park for a buy out day (like a corporate buy out). So, it would have been their rules for the day they purchased the park.

Muslim Fun Day?? Didn't they have this at Six Flags Great Adventure one year?? Maybe they still have it. I don't get it. I guess if it was a private day day it would have worked, but you can't shut down everything that makes your park fun, and expect peeps to show up.
It reminds of the day they recently had LATIN DAY at my city's Major League Baseball stadium. I took my family dressed in togas with olive leaves in our hair. We took grapes and figs to snack on. We thought people would be wearin' the best of ancient Rome and there would be Gregorian chants being played over the P.A. We were suprised to hear Salsa music and tributes to Hispanic players. ??? Maybe they meant LATINO DAY not LATIN DAY. We felt a bit foolish. They should have specified. BUT my point is, why do we need these special days? Let's just go enjoy the parks (and baseball games-in my case) without having some crazy event. I like coasters. I don't need Irish Catholic day or Gay Canadian Day (ACTUAL EVENT AT PKD IN 1998!) to have fun.
