They should take down Alpengeist. This is really bad.

Take down Alpengeist? Why? The teen already had problems with his leg. There is nothing wrong with the ride.

First off, if he had a hard cast on, he shouldn't be riding per B&M...I really think Jerry is joking, out SFGadv should take Kingda Ka because sparks came off the track wihich could burn people alive...( sarcasim )

A friend of mine fractured his femur on Hellevator at SFKK, but he had cancer in the bone, which was the real reason.

I think the saddest part is you know his family is going to sue BG and you know BG will just settle even though it was the kids fault.

Coasterfreak2000, it is clearly obvious that Jerry is being sarcastic.

H ehad a hard cast on so I think an employee slipped up when letting him ride. I know SFA doesn't allow people to ride most of the thrill rides and coasters with any kind of hard casts. Dunno what BGE does tho...
He had the preexisting condition so its pretty silly for him to think he could ride something like Alpengeist.

Thats the problem with the Internet, it's hard to tell when someone is being sarcastic...

I really don't think you are supposed to be allowed to ride with a hard cast, especially on your leg.

I agree on the tone - or lack thereof - in email or comments like these.
With any luck the park will pay the additional medical and that will be the end of it. There are warnings about rides - are we going to need MRI's before we do anything in a park? Except ride the carousel (and collapse from vertigo)?

I am assuming that Alpie is still running. Can anyone confirm that?? I think it would be silly to shut down and investigate for something like this, but stranger things have happened. Alpengeist is my #1. Best without the trims! My legs are fine. I would bet that he had his legs stretched out touching the car in front of him and got a tweak.

Yes, Alpie is still running. I went the day right after it happened, not even knowing about this, and Alpie was perfectly normal, just like all other days of operation.
