News: Man goes missing on Geauga Lake

Aug. 18th, 2006 -- A 24-year-old fisherman remains missing after a boat capsized on Geauga Lake near Geauga Lake and Wildwater Kingdom around 9:30 p.m. on Thursday night.

It was reported that the man was aboard the boat with two other fisherman when the boat sank. The other two fisherman were able to swim back to shore. The missing man was last seen struggling in the water and according to fire radio reports, he was not wearing a flotation device.

Firefighters from four counties as well as two dive teams rushed to the scene in search of the man. An initial search was called off due to darkness, but authorities expect to resume around 9:00 a.m. on Friday morning.

Dan G Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 3574 View Park/Ride Count	I was actually at the park last night when this happened, on my way home there was a ton of ambulances, police cars and firetrucks passing in the opposite direction. You would have thought if you had seen it that something happened at the park and a large number of people had gotten hurt.
