Feb. 23rd, 2004 -- Disney's embattled Chairman and CEO Michael Eisner deflected criticism from dissident shareholders by discussing the now off takeover attempt from Comcast as well as a new attraction at Disneyland.
Eisner made note that the "theme parks are in great management hands" as he attended the premiere of Disneyland's new musical "Snow White." He introduced the show to a crowd that included children dressed in Snow White character costumes, noting that "Snow White" and Mickey Mouse were the "bedrock of the company." "Snow White" was Disney's first full-length animated feature. He also did not fully turn down the idea of merging with a company that offered a "really spectacular" bid, but declined to name a company.
