Sep. 5th, 2006 -- An 11-year-old boy was hit in the wrist yesterday by a bullet while riding the Old No. 2 Logging Company log flume at Magic Springs. The bullet did not travel entirely through the child's wrist and had slowed down from firing speed, causing police to suspect that the bullet had been fired upward and struck the boy during decent.
Police say it would be all but impossible to determine who fired the shot and will most likely classify the incident as a freak accident. No one heard any shots. The boy, who was the only one injured, was treated at the park. See Fox News for more.
