Posted at 12:51 AM EDT (0451 GMT) Sep. 14th, 2006 -- Six Flags last week named a new General Manager for the company’s largest park in Jackson, New Jersey. Mark Kane, General Manager of Six Flags New England will step in for Ron Sevart, the former general manager of Six Flags Great Adventure, who left Six Flags to pursue personal business opportunities.
Kane, 52, who is a veteran in the theme park industry, has over 30 years of experience, holding a variety of positions in the management, sales and distribution, and food and beverage divisions. Prior to becoming the general manager of Six Flags New England, he was the company's Corporate Director of Games and Attractions from 2000 to 2004.
