News: Busch Gardens Europe employees under investigation for fraud

Posted at 2:05 AM EDT (0605 GMT)

Oct. 18th, 2006 -- Busch Gardens officials first noticed the problem after a review of security camera footage and a cash register audit.  Following the review, four employees of the park have each been charged with one count of felony embezzlement.

The employees in question all worked in the stroller rental department and the missing money involved rental fees that were paid in cash.

The men were charged with embezzling $10,840 from the park and are free on bond.

What I want to know is: Why? I mean, it's not as if they (as employees) are treated like dirt... Although it isn't the greatest job in the world, nor is the pay spectacular, but the perks are great. And if they needed more money, they could just as easily gotten another McJob that has a steeper pay scale, yet with fewer perks... Oh well.

Why would you steal money from a park. You have to know you are going to get caught, I mean parks do have such things as security cameras now-a-days.

Oh well guess there not going to be working at a theme park any time soon.
