Mar. 2nd, 2004 -- Ocean Park, located in Hong Kong, plans to overhaul the park to ready for the opening of Hong Kong Disneyland in the next couple of years. Newly appointed CEO Tom Mehrmann plans to add two new hotels, upgrade the existing park's attractions, while adding new rides, and upgrading the restaurants as well. The park plans to focus more on the animal atractions, and its location on a mountain. Ocean Park, established in 1977, is currrently the number one paid tourist attraction in Hong Kong. Ocean Park is home to many endangered species of animals, including two giant pandas and several species of dolphins. Read more at Channel News Asia. This park looks absolutely beautiful. They have videos of the two coasters they have and the view you get even from the video looks amazing.
They also have an awesome animal conservation center which has two Pandas, and a variety of endagered dolphin species (some look a little creepy too).
In 2001 they had the first two dolphins to ever be successfully birthed through artifcial insemination (with a calaboration with Sea World here in the states).
I'm more then impressed with what the park has, what it has done, and what it will do. I wish them the best of luck when HKDL opens.

I was lucky enough to go to this park 3 yrs ago, and it is one of the most beautiful parks I've been to. The Dragon arrow looper has literally the most beautiful setting of any coaster I've ever seen. Perched on the side of a mountain, it is really incredible.

I know I'd definitely love this park---especially for the wildlife.
