News: 4 men rob a Magic Mountain toll booth

Posted at 12:57 PM EST (1757 GMT)

Dec. 5th, 2006 -- Just before 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon four males robbed a Six Flags Magic Mountain toll booth of an undisclosed and apparently considerable amount of cash.

Reportedly, a four-door BMW drove up the booth, showed a handgun to the attendant and took all the money on-hand.

The robbers were able to get away before law enforcement arrived, thanks in-part to the easy access to Interstate 5 from Magic Mountain.

This line was dropped at another online community about this news bit:

"Now Six Flags knows what it's like to be robbed at the toll booth."

Thought it was hilarious.

Maybe they will put up signs such as "toll booth hosts have access to no more than $20." If they are smart, they will install metal money boxes that are locked, but allow money to be dropped in but not taken out without a key, and also locked in place. They are not that expensive, especially compared to the loss of 4 and 5 digit dollar amounts.
