News: Woman killed on dark ride at Everland

Posted at 1:38 PM EST (1838 GMT)

Jan. 16th, 2007 -- A 38-year old woman died at South Korea's Everland on Sunday after she tried to leave a dark ride that started its cycle.

The ride, Gargoyle's Magic Battle, is a Haunted Swing-style ride. The woman began to feel sick and undid her safety belt and attempted to leave as the ride was starting. The woman then was lodged between the screen and seats.

A park spokesperson admitted the park's fault in not properly checking all safety belts before beginning the operation of the ride.

At the absolute least, there should be a warning that those prone to nausea should not ride. Goodness....

Well proof enough even if you are sick don't brake the rules either just ride the ride or contact a staff member. It's a lot better than being killed.
