Now all they have to find out how to keep the same great taste of the funnel cakes without the use of trans fats, then that will be huge news. All the while this still is great news, I'm always glad to hear of some positive / healthy steps Six Flags Inc. are taking to ensure a great year.

So, if you don't like their new food, you can no longer go out of the park to eat because of the no re-enrty rule.
Genius business move.
Here's a thought, Six Flags: take the money you're planning to spend implementing this and the no re-entry plan, and spend it instead on ride maintenance, and housekeeping in the parks.

It's a brilliant move. Everyone's getting rid of the artery-clogging fat so why not this park? Even Universal has done it!
I read about it on www.palmoiltruthfoundation.com that also says it's a good sub for trans fats.

Funnel cakes WILL have trans fats. Take a look at the article: "Six Flags Over Texas is dropping trans fats from the menu, with one exception. Funnel cakes! "

I don't think that they are going to spend tons of money on this change. Cooking grease is usually where the Trans Fats come from, so when they change that, that will be the easiest step to rid the parks of this horrible, unhealthy problem. Funnel Cakes happen to be one of the most iconic / most sold desserts of Amusement parks and Carnivals, so it's difficult to tamper with it's cooking ingredients while maintaining it's great taste.

I can see it now.....Six Flags next sponsorship will be with Smart Balance; a brand of margarine almost no one hears about.
And what about Papa John's pizza? How will that be made now?

^ Six Flags Over Texas doesn't have a Papa John's. Only a few select parks feature that.

This really isn't that much of a big Deal with the extreme overpricing of a Cooke they should be using butter not Crisco.

^^^Papa johns don't fry their Pizzas anyway, they cook them in an oven. Typically your fried foods ie: French fries, Fried Chicken, and Fish are loaded with Trans fats. Hamburgers from places like Wendy's and McDonalds have been tested to contain this awful stuff, but I don't really understand why because they generate their on grease from the existing fat burning. Maybe it's from the lubrication of the cooking surface with what ever kind of spray grease they use.....I don't know.
