News: Six Flags Over Texas to open 2007 season with Spring Breakout!

On March 10th, Six Flags Over Texas kicks off its 2007 season with Spring BreakOut! This annual festival is all about fun in the sun and is a great way to take a “day-cation” from work, school, and the cares of everyday life. Six Flags Over Texas stands ready to welcome your family back for a season jam-packed with the ultimate in exciting entertainment! And Spring BreakOut is just the beginning of a brand new year of exciting activities for the whole family.

NEW for 2007, Six Flags Over Texas introduces more entertainment, dining, retail, and interactive experiences located throughout the park!

For a heart-stopping entertainment thrill you won’t soon forget, Six Flags Over Texas is gearing up for its 2007 season with an all-new stage production, Cirque Dreams Coobrila. This original show will take the stage of the newly renovated Music Mill Amphitheatre. With brilliant lighting effects, breathtaking acrobatics and a whimsical story line, the cast of Cirque Dreams Coobrila will take you to a fantasy beyond the moon!

“This season is full of energy and excitement for Six Flags Over Texas,” said Six Flags Over Texas president, Steve Martindale. “From Spring BreakOut to the addition of Cirque Dreams Coobrila, Six Flags Over Texas is making its mark as a true destination.”

-- On the dining front, families can now grab a yummy meal from Panda Express or an ice cream creation from Coldstone Creamery. Also slated to tempt your taste buds this summer, Johnny Rockets will become part of the ever-popular Goodtimes Square section of the park!

-- Kodak’s expert team will be running the photography experience at Six Flags Over Texas this year, and to ensure that every guest who visits Six Flags Over Texas brings home happy memories, there are Kodak kiosks at various locations so park-goers can view and purchase pictures from their special day! Whether it’s photos of your family with favorite Looney Tunes and Justice League characters, images of happy screaming on thrill rides, or other favorite park moments, you can capture them all at Six Flags Over Texas this year and share them with friends and loved ones.

-- Guests can find their “inner gamer” at the Wii Experience. This brand-new interactive gaming location from Nintendo opens a whole new dimension to a day at Six Flags Over Texas. But the fun doesn’t stop there - there’s a reason Six Flags Over Texas is known as The Entertainment Capital of Texas! From thrilling roller coasters like Titan, with its extreme 255-foot drop, to Looney Tunes USA, home to Bugs Bunny and pals, there is something to see and do for young and old alike!

Also lined up for Spring BreakOut are some of the most talented local bands in North Texas! Take a break between rides to rock out with bands like In The Mix and Bonedriven, or get your groove on to the sounds of funk favorites In the Groove. If you’re a little bit country, we’ve wrangled up folks like Robin & Steppin Out and The Flavours to get you two-steppin’!

Knowledgeable and friendly tour guides will escort your family or group for a unique "behind the scenes" look at the largest theme park in the Southwest! Experience Spring BreakOut at Six Flags Over Texas! The park is open daily March 10th-18th from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. The park is then open for weekends until mid-May when daily operation begins.
