Few things in the world of amusement parks have ticked me off to this degree. This is NOT a complicated ride. What could have happenned? I'm especially upset since I'll be in the area right up UNTIL June. Seriously.

I'm shocked that they just decided this so close to opening day. They were probably chewing on the idea for a while before deciding it was too important to put off till the season ended. Maybe this is the big surprise Tony and Tyler were holding off from us! lol At least they want to get it right. Hey, you go with Intamin at Cedar Point, and you have to make modifications. This just goes to show it should have been a Beemer.

It can be considered a complicated ride, and even for those that aren't, it still isn't anything you know how to do on your own, so stop freaking out. I am kinda mad too, even though I probably won't ride it.
It's strange though, usually you expect the Flags of Negligence to delay an opening this far, but go figure.

There WERE rumors about a delayed opening about a month ago. I guess it's real now and we know why.

Even if it's not open in June I'll be able to ride it in September.
I just hope they dont take out the roll, it's been the one part of the ride I've been looking forward to the most.

This is ashame. I will be visiting in late June, So I hope it is ready by then.
I have heard so many comments from CF fanboys over the past few years. For example, "SF suck, they never open new rides when they say they will". What do you guys have to say about this? Just curious.

Um, yes, it definately IS a complicated ride. Remember S:E? Same launch system, shorter ride. Delayed for a year.
You would not want to ride Maverick (or anything else) if it was unsafe.

I hope its open when I go June 10, 11, 12, & 13. I wonder what they really mean by "eliminate excessive stress on the trains", sounds like a nice way of saying something that is much worse than they want it to sound.

Does anyone else agree that instead of adding attraction after attraction, Cedar Point should REALLY get their reliability restored to their top attractions? I know its a stretch, but I think they should focus their time and money into keeping Top Thrill Dragster and Millennium Force operating as close to flawless as possible.
However, its a good idea to keep this ride safe and under control, but why so late?

Well hopefully for Cedar Point not to many Golden Ticket voters will visit before then because with it opening later they will need to hope that the majority of them will come after it opens if they want to get a(n) award(s) for Maverick.

I never get into that fan-kid stuff but will Maverick open up this year before El Toro did last year? I'm taking it to the bank.

Too bad. I wonder what went awry? Must have been heartbreaking for the CP folks to not make thier due date. Its alway tough to make the decision to postpone a debut of any product.

I'll bet it's running for Coastermania.
Top Thrill's much ballyhooed woes, Last year's Milenium Force gremlins, and now this: What will this do for the Cedar Fair- Intamin relationship? If I were Dick Kinzel, I'd be pretty honked with them these days

Its not Intamin's fault this is going on. Dragsters thing was its a first of its kind coaster. They spend millions on us to make us comming back for more. Least we can do is say ty and hope u get the new coaster running soon. Nuff said
