Industry Announcements: Hersheypark hosts Sixth Annual Junior/Senior All Nighter

Posted at 8:42 AM EDT (1242 GMT)

May. 16th, 2007 -- (HERSHEY, PA)-- On Friday, May 18 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Hersheypark will be open overnight for the Sixth Annual Junior/Senior All Nighter. This drug-and- alcohol free event takes place rain or shine; school rules apply.  It is a school-sponsored activity with the schools providing adult supervision throughout the night.

Eighteen of the most popular Hersheypark rides, including seven of the Park’s exhilarating roller coasters, will be open for this exclusive event for high school juniors and seniors. One free chaperone ticket is given with every 10 student tickets.  Approximately 7,000 students from 77 high schools from PA and surrounding states plan to attend.
In addition, the evening will include live entertainment, disc jockeys from one of the area’s hottest radio stations, a dance party, arcade games and, one lucky winner will win a car compliments of Klick-Lewis. The event concludes with an all-you-can-eat hot breakfast buffet.

We should get the 100th anniversary logo on this site this year.

I was the head chaperone for the Hershey Park All-Nighter back in 2004.

What they did back then (And they learned from their mistake, or so I've heard!) was to have half the park open for the first half of the night and then open the other half of the park for the second half of the night.

This made for very long lines everywhere. I wouldn't mind going again. I am sure it has to be better now that the entire park is open all night long.

If you intend on going, be sure to contact Hershey Park first to see if the entire park is open all night long. If not, then it isn't really worth it.

I wish there was a park near me that could offer this. Sounds awesome.

That is an awesome idea for any park. I would attend an "overnight" event easily.
