Posted at 11:14 PM EDT (0314 GMT)  May. 24th, 2007 -- Cedar Point was forced earlier this month to delay the opening of the highly anticipated new coaster for 2007.
The Inline Twist of Maverick was required to be altered and removed to reduce specific forces riders endured during the element. Today, Cedar Point has announced that Maverick will open this Saturday May 26th, 2007 to the public. As one of the more anticipated coasters of 2007, the design hiatus is finally over. Wow. I'm impressed. that was realyl fast. they just got the track like a day ago, but I suppose it makes sense. It's not like they really had to do much more after it was installed. Way to go!

Yeah, guess what. My Senior class trip to CP is TOMORROW!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
How terrible is that? I'll be so close to riding it, and I just can't do it. I'm so mad right now, you don't even know. GRRRRRRR!!!

I'm there. I first was going to do Idlewild and GL in the same day but talking to former TNer ndslewbus convinced me to do GL and then CP in the same day. Now Maverick is opening! yay

Hey, I JUST got back from my trip. We were watching it test, and it was running beautifully. We were on Thunder Canyon, I still don't know why, and it was running smooth and its still SO fast through that s-curve. I really can't wait to get a chance to ride it.
