News: Dollywood opens new entrance November 10

Aug. 24th, 2007 -- Dollywood is changing the way patrons enter the grounds of the Smoky Mountain theme park. Beginning November 10, all traffic will begin using the entrance on McCarter Hollow Road instead of the existing Dollywood Lane entrance.

coasterman1234 Joined: Nov 2006 Posts: 1462 View Park/Ride Count	I hope the new entrance is larger (lane wise) than the old one. For a growing theme park like Dollywood, they are going to slowly need a much larger entrance than the current.

tntornadox Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 729 View Park/Ride Count	What used to be the "back" or "locals" entrance was completely re-done this off season, and now boasts 4 booths, allowing 8 vehicles to be paying at once... It's great compared to the old Dollywood Lane entrance, which most tourists use... all you have to do to get to the other one is follow the signs on Dollywood Ln onto Veterans Boulevard... (Follow signs to Dollywood's Splash Country)
