It's actually kind of catchy. I knew the reason for it being called J2, but it still didn't sound right. Maybe this year I can actually make it to the amusement park to ride it on a day the place is actually open.lol

Puma is a fitting name for this coaster. I hope that the name change and overhaul of the park goes well.

There should be a list of names for roller coasters like there is for race horses. Once a name is taken, that name can't be used by any other park. And once a ride is named, it can't be changed. Why? Because it becomes confusing to customers. For example: First it was LeSourdsville Lake Amusement Park, then it became Americana, now its LeSourdsville Lake again, and then the coaster was originally called the Cyclone, then the Space Rocket and finally the Screechin' Eagle. So how do I refer to the John Miller classic Screechin' Eagle? ... as the Cyclone or Space Rocket or Screechin' Eagle and what park is it located, Americana or LeSourdsville. By the way, the Screechin' Eagle is SBNO

Great to see the coaster finally getting a real name.
trackwalker - Confusing you mean like SFNE Renaming there Batman: Dark Night coaster to Batman the ride so they can Open an all new Batman: Dark Night coaster in 2008. But I can't agree in every case to rides keeping their original name. I would hate for my home parks Yankee Canonball to still be called Roller coaster.

I think we can make an exception in Yankee Canonball's case. Parks should just try to come up with an original name and stay with it and not copy somebody else. Also Puma is better than J2. But can you imagine Cedar Point changing the name of Millennium Force or Holiday World changing The Voyage? I think not, because those names are original and very good and not copies of other parks names. J2 = Jack Rabbit 2? Give me a break. Also I don't think these names should ever be used again:
Cyclone or Psyclone
Thunderbolt
Jack Rabbit
Blue Streat
Hurricane
Racer
to mention a few

I new what you were getting at. just pointing out a small flaw. I agree completely there are a few names that are overly used. Comet, Mind Eraser, Goliath, and batman are also on my list. I would love to see SFI use other DC characters for attractions.
