News: Darien Lake to debut roller coaster, shows in 2008

Apr. 3rd, 2008 -- Darien Lake is set to debut the first MotoCoaster from Zamperla in May. Joining MotoCoaster in the park's entertainment lineup is new shows targeted for the family.

The construction on MotoCoaster began in earnest last month and is expected to be ready by the park's May 3rd opening. It has a $3.4 million price tag.

The new shows include a percussion dance group named "Rhythmnicity", which is inspired by the famous group "Stomp". The park will also feature the Cirque du Soleil inspired-"Cirque Nouveau". Rounding out the shows are a children's show "An Alarming Adventure" and a Quiz Show named "And the answer is!"
