Posted at 11:44 AM EDT (1544 GMT) Apr. 3rd, 2008 -- Sea World in Orlando is preparing to take on it's most ambitious project to date. Opening in 2009, it will be an immersive attraction that will be part roller coaster, part animal attraction.
No specific details were revealed about the ride. Hints were dropped at a "gliding" aspect, which seems to confirm rumors of a B&M flying roller coaster. Animals and marine life will be part of the ride, although how they will be integrated is not known. It will be the most expensive ride ever built at a Sea World park. It sounds like the animals are "pre and post show". Maybe like wild artic is set up. plus, won't a roller coaster be too loud for the animals?

I am not sseing a B@M flyer as it wont be a family frindly ride...I am thinking more of a Jungala type experience.

I don't know if a Jungala type ride could qualify as the most expensive ever built at Sea World. I think Flyers are fairly family friendly as well. I've only been on Superman, but it was so tame I could've taken up knitting on it. I'm very intrigued by the idea of a possible splashdown situation on this ride, kind of like on the vertical drop coasters.

How is a 54" hieght requirement a family friendly ride? Yes, I would love a flyer, but I am not counting on it...Plus being the most expensive attraction covers all aspects of the ride area, not just the actually ride.

I'm just not sure they would put a Jungala type ride out there when they just put it in at Busch Gardens. I'm thinking that they would be going big to compete with everything else happening down there in '09.

Ok, for the record the Orlando Sentinel says it is " gliding experience" which to me leaves out major thrill ride. And anything Sea World does will not be competing with BG in anyway. BG is more of a thrill park with animals and SW is more of a family park with animals.
