News: Arrest made in Conneaut Lake ballroom fire

Apr. 7th, 2008 -- A 19-year old man has been arrested and charged with arson after officials determined he set fire to Conneaut Lake Park's Dreamland Ballroom and a local church.  

Nickolas Pope of Hartstown, Pa. was arraigned on Friday. The fire he is charged with setting at the Dreamland Ballroom caused $1.5 million in damage to the historic building. The damaged building is still standing and the damage will not be removed until May.

No motive has been given for the arson at this time.
