Aug. 25th, 2008 -- WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Busch Gardens is firing up the grill in September for two weekends of hot barbecue, cold drinks and great music. Join world-class chefs as they transform the park into a buffet of tastes and smells that can’t be beat. Throw in live concerts from some of America’s best performers as well as an unending supply of frosty beverages and get ready for Busch Garden’s most savory event of the season, Bud & BBQ, Sept. 6-7 and 13-14.
“Bud & BBQ will transform the park into the biggest backyard party of the year with a choice of barbecue styles and great American music,” said John Reilly, general manager and executive vice president at Busch Gardens.
Country singers Aaron Tippin and Josh Gracin are the musical headliners for each night of the event. Local country and bluegrass bands will perform throughout the day, rounding out more than six hours of free concerts each day.
But the food is the real headliner for Bud & BBQ. The park will be packed with new foods to eat and daily cooking demonstrations by Chefs Brent Wertz and Justin Watson from Kingsmill Resort & Spa.
The event will feature:
- Cooking demonstrations with free samples
- An outdoor Anheuser-Busch Brewmaster’s Club
- All-you-care-to-eat barbecue buffet
- A variety of barbecue stations throughout the park
- Budweiser Clydesdale appearances
- Budweiser No. 9 NASCAR car on display
A detail schedule for Bud & BBQ can be found at www.buschgardens.com/va.
