News: Bones found at SFFT - updated

Posted at 7:27 PM EDT (2327 GMT)

Sep. 25th, 2008 -- Skeletal remains were found on some cliffs by Six Flags Fiesta Texas.

Security personnel found the remains, which also had some clothing near them. The remains were not in any public area, said a spokesman for the San Antonio Police Department.

The spokesman said the remains could have been there for six months to a year. The remains were identified at the county medical examiner's office as belonging to 56-year-old Kathleen Gutierrez.

Investigators used dental records to get the identification.

Wow this is some surprising news. Question is how did a body/Skeleton exist on property for 6-12 months without any one coming across it?

I'm also a little confused. I just don't get how a dead body could go un noticed on park property that long.

Looks like another person dies at a SF park.

Maybe depending on where exactly it was I could possibly understand her not being found. I highly doubt every foot of any park is inspected every month or so. If an area is far from the public I wouldn't think you would check it out that often anyway. What led the guys to where this was for the first time in 6 - 12 months is what I want to know?

Maybe they were planning to start construction in that area for something.

This better not be some Halloween PR stunt or that's just sick. This is very odd indeed.

I doubt it. I could however see Universal doing something like this.

Who goes to the bank before they commit suicide? Anybody find it odd that her son says she came into his room and was all "suicidal." Then he says . “I haven't seen her since. I woke up, and the next thing I knew she was gone.” So his mother came into his room all "suicidal" and "down on herself" and he goes back to sleep??? I know if my mother did that she would not be leaving the house, and I would be like a hawk watching her every movement. Seems really odd, because not only are there questionable actions by the son, but also the bank she went to. A Security Services Credit Union, the body was found by Security at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, not to mention in an area that is rarely searched, wonder who would know that the area is rarely searched? Its questionable to say the least.
