News: Howl-O-Scream 2008 kicks off at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay

Oct. 16th, 2008 -- TAMPA, FL – On Friday, Oct. 17, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay will help kick off Spooky Empire's Ultimate Horror Weekend in Orlando with a special appearance by the iconic "Raven Twins.” The actresses who originated the roles of Lara and Lana Raven for the advertising campaign will take part in the Zombie Walk opening ceremony, which kicks off the annual three-day horror convention.

The Twins will be available for interviews, photos and autograph signings from 3 to 4 p.m. at the pre-walk "Hearse Show,” taking place at 8126 International Boulevard in the T.G.I. Friday's parking lot across the street from the Wyndham Hotel. Then, at 4 p.m., the twins will join representatives from The Deadite Empire to kick off the second annual Zombie Walk, which features hundreds of costumed volunteers lurching across I-Drive to celebrate the Ultimate Horror Weekend's opening night.

Howl-O-Scream representatives will be at the convention all weekend, with giveaways and ticket drawings to share information about Busch Gardens' nationally ranked Halloween event, which takes place every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night through Nov. 1.

Howl-O-Scream 2008 is a separate-ticketed event, and the general admission price is $64.95. Savings are available on advance ticket purchases for Passport Members, Florida Residents and with a coupon from participating Muvico Theaters or Budweiser retailers throughout the state.
