News: ACEers take on Texas Tornado

May. 1st, 2004 -- About 140 members of the American Coaster Enthusiasts are taking a weekend vacation to four relatively unknown amusement parks.

The group will visit the Amarillio, Texas, Wonderland Amusement Park and ride the O.D. Hopkins Texas Tornado and Carl Miler Cyclone.

The ACEers hope to generate interest and awareness of the parks and roller coasters, because they may be "taken out (and) lost forever."

They will also visit Cliff's Amusement Park in Albuquerque, N.M., home of CCI's last roller coaster, New Mexico Rattler.
