Posted at 1:39 PM EDT (1739 GMT) May. 5th, 2004 -- According to sources, the worst-kept secret for the 2005 season is going to be a reality. A B&M Dive Machine coaster is said to be in the final planning stages for Busch Gardens Tampa.
Park officials will not confirm the rumor, only saying that they plan on improving the Stanleyville area of the Tampa, Florida adventure and amusement park for the 2005 season. This uncomfirmed roller coaster would be the 7th overall and the 3rd Bolliger & Mabillard coaster in the park. For more information, read: The St. Petersburg Times

Yahoo! Finally a "new" coaster for BGT. (Not counting Wild Maus being moved there) :( ;)
Maybe this will happend at BGW too!
96 BGT got Montu
97 BGW got Alpengeist
Also, there's some type of activity for a 2005 attraction over near Fest Haus, so I'm crossing my fingers.

I read this to, but then on Screamscape they said that this was NOT going to happen and that the "leaked" plans were just patent drawings from 1999. Either that or maybe that was how it was "denied" to cover up the truth about the park getting it. Either way, it's good to FINALLY see a dive machine in the U.S.

I sure hope that this is true, because it should be awesome. I'd be able to ride it every summer.

This looks like a perfect ride for BGT! I know it will make me come back. :) And it will also give the other parks in FL more competition.
Right now, this seems to be the hot rumor!!

The dive machine for BGT could easily be a much different layout than those plans that were posted on the internt because those plans shows a layout way too short!

Well its about dog on time they got a new coaster. For a minute there I thought I was going to have to categorize them with SF Astroworld who seems to have NO intentions of building a new coaster. Busch Gardens is a wonderful park and you'd think they be like Cedar Point and build a new coaster almost every year, they certainly profit from it. And if its built by B&M I know it will be well worth another trip to Tampa.

Sounds like a cool ride. I hope it's not just a rumor, but rather reality.
