Several panicked riders scrambled from their seats around 4:20 on Sunday when the log flume at Dorney Park halted on the lift hill. This is a minor incident that will be investigated thoroughly by state Department of Agriculture's Bureau of Rides and Attractions.
A "small mechanical arm" stuck out and kept the log that Sheila Clever and her 13-year-old daughter were in from cresting the lift and plunging to the pool below. Another log came up behind them, and they became scared and evacuated the ride.

^ hahaha......if I saw something like that in person, then I'd probably start laughing.
I wonder if the media is just looking for something....anything....to knock the amusement park industry (just like the airline industry in the 90's)

I love how dorney shut out the media on this one i was there and on the ride it was a girl scout event.First of all there were more than 15 people sent to the hospital and the ride was a nightmare.The water was overflowing at the top of the ride and they could stop anybody the brake system failed.One of the guys was hanging on the top of the hill because he couldnt get out and his boat went down the hill with no stops down below.

I have to say dorney was more than helpful they paid for my hospital stay and my time i missed work they paid for there were more riders that where hurt worse than i was.A family went down the hill in front of us and crashed into the line,and one boat overturned on its way down,Peopl standing in line jumped in to get the kids out down below it looked like a war zone down below,all the boats where on top of each other at the bottom.My daughter started to cry when we got stuck at the bottom but the manager said everthing was fine so we went up the hill and the water was overflowing into the boat there was nobody uptop in the tower and everybody was screaming,we crashed into another boat at the top the front boat went over the hill with kids inside.I did a interview with mcall and told the reporter everything that happen its in one of the back isssues from the summer.
