News: The Great Escape celebrates 50 years

Jun. 11th, 2004 -- Park goers of Six Flags Great Escape will have the opportunity to view a remarkable fireworks show on June 27, beginning at 9:30 pm.  This extravaganza will be held to commemorate 50 years of amusement park fun. 

Since the anniversary is going to last the whole year, the park has decided to host firework shows on three other dates this season.  On July 3, July 24, and August 14 visitors will be able to catch a glimpse of this wonderous display.

Not many theme parks have been in business for 50 years so this is an occasion to celebrate.  The staff is very excited to be able to bring you this opportunity to enjoy the celebration.
