Offbeat: Survive it and Drive It

Jun. 16th, 2004 -- Valleyfair and KDWB 101.3 have teamed up to host the "Survive it and Drive it" contest in which participants outride each other on the Wild Thing to win a 2005 Scion XA.

The contest has been ongoing since Monday afternoon. Out of 36 contestants, 13 remain, their ages ranging from several 18 year olds to a few in their early 30s. Many list their survivor luxury item as deodorant, due to living at the park for a few days straight, but some also would like to have their CD players and books.
