News: Six Flags giving away free passes

Jun. 22nd, 2004 -- Six Flags America is encouraging residents of Montgomery and Prince George's counties as well as in the city of Baltimore, Maryland to turn in  illegal fireworks.

Montgomery County Fire Department spokesman Pete Piringer said that anyone who turns in illegal fireworks will receive free passes courtesy of Six Flags.

They did not say how much you turn in to get free tickets. So I guess you can just get a few dollar fireworks and get a ticket.

The moral of this story is to buy a $5 illegal quarter piece of dynamite off the black market, turn it in and get a ticket. That way, you only pay $5 to get into the park! ;)

I think this is really nice. Six Flags is looking up doing these kinds of things! :-)

Are they giving away 1 day tickets, or season passes?

Interesting concept. I think SF will do just about anything to get people to their parks. SF mgmt must be smart enough to know that if people come (even get in for free) that they will still spend money.

Cedar Fair mgmt regarding Geauga Lake have not figured this out yet----keep alienating the public for whatever reason.
