News: Magic Mountain announces new Coke offer

Posted at 6:47 PM EDT (2247 GMT)

Jun. 29th, 2004 -- VALENCIA, Calif. -- Six Flags Magic Mountain, the Xtreme Park, and Coca-Cola have teamed up again to bring consumers the best summer entertainment package in Southern California.

Starting July 1, guests can bring any Coca-Cola can or liter bottle to Six Flags Magic Mountain and receive one free general admission ticket for every one purchased -- any day of the week.

According to recent studies, extended families plan on vacationing together this summer. Six Flags Magic Mountain, responding to the recent trend in travel, is partnering with Coca-Cola to make Six Flags the destination spot. The Coca-Cola buy one, get one free offer, is the best deal in the Southland.

The offer also extends to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor right next door. With any Coca-Cola can or liter bottle, adults pay only $17.99 for admission into the water park.

At Six Flags Magic Mountain, the Xtreme Park, you can now experience dozens of world-class Xtreme rides and attractions, including SCREAM!, Southern California's first floorless mega-coaster, X, the world's first four-dimensional coaster; Goliath, The Giant Among Coasters; The Riddler's Revenge -- the world's tallest and fastest stand-up roller coaster; Superman The Escape -- the most technologically advanced thrill ride ever built; Colossus -- a classic "woodie," Batman The Ride, Viper and many more.

For the younger guests, Bugs Bunny World is a six-acre interactive wonderland featuring 16 rides and attractions that parents and kids can experience together -- including two traditional Six Flags roller coasters ... only pint-sized!

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor water park and Six Flags Magic Mountain, the Xtreme Park, comprise California's first multi-gated entertainment complex -- Six Flags California.

Six Flags California is located at 26101 Magic Mountain Parkway, Valencia, north of Los Angeles off Interstate 5 at the Magic Mountain Parkway exit. The parks are now open daily starting at 10 a.m. Closing hours vary. For more information, call (661) 255-4111 or visit us on the internet at sixflags.com. AOL keyword: sixflags.

Wow. I see this as a smart move for Six Flags. For a family of 6 spending $120 to all get into SFMM is a lot nicer than the $300 it would be to goto DL.

Is Superman The Escape even open?

You have to love the wordage, "the most technologically advanced thrill ride ever built".

I read that and I think it's a good offer, too bad other SF parks aren't offering that deal. As for the part about Superman...what a bunch of crap! Most tecnologically advanced ride...whatever....and the ride isn't even working.

Sounds like a pretty good deal. Perhaps Cedar Fair will take note and do something similar.
