News: Shockwave closed until September

Jul. 21st, 2004 -- Six Flags over Texas' popular Shockwave coaster will remain closed until sometime in September. A flash-flood in June eroded the soil around the ride, and the park will wait to begin work until August 22nd.

The park says the work will begin when the Arlington, Texas amusement park shifts to weekend-only operations, allowing crews to spend the weekdays on patching up the ride.
