News: Six Flags Worlds of Adventure attendance woes

Posted at 10:11 AM EST (1511 GMT)

Dec. 22nd, 2003 --  For the second straight season, attendance is down at Six Flags Worlds of Adventure in Aurora, Ohio.

The 7% decrease in attendance can be blamed on three things: poor weather, no new major additions to the park, and a highly-marketable new roller coaster at nearby Cedar Point.

This is further proof that the management of the corporates at Six Flags are terrible. The management of SFWoA has done a terrific job turning around the park, even though they continue to be shafted by corporate when they need a new major attraction to be competitive.

I don't see SFWoA ever being able to compete with Cedar Point. They'll never really be able to get the big attendence figures they want.
