Aug. 5th, 2004 -- Press Release from The Great Escape

LAKE GEORGE, N.Y., August 5, 2004 – The Great Escape & Splashwater Kingdom will host the fourth and final in a series of celebratory fireworks displays on Saturday, August 14, as part of its yearlong 50th Anniversary celebration. Fireworks, presented by Time Warner Cable of Albany, will kick off at 9:45 p.m., weather permitting.

The event, to be orchestrated by famed pyrotechnics specialist Alonzo Fireworks Display, Inc, will showcase criss-crossing fireworks, pattern fireworks, and several multi-color combinations all in commemoration of the milestone season.

The fireworks display is free to park guests with their paid admission to The Great Escape. There is also a special after 4 p.m. admission price of $17, plus tax.

I'm glad this park is receiving some press. For those who haven't been there, SF: TGE is a really nice park with a lot of history. The Comet (my 2nd fav ride) is incredible---worth going to this park just for that.
