Why is it funny? It's true.

There's nothing funny about that. I bet if this was Carowinds making this statement you would whole-heartedly agree with it.

Its not very funny. Six Flags is a safe park chain. When you think of all the people that visit the park, how many of them get killed? Something like this could happen any where, not just a Six Flags park. What if someone died on a Carrowinds coaster. Then you wouldn't think it was very funny.

Six Flags is committed to safety, but many of their ride-ops are lazy and compromise the safety of the riders. The guy that died on SRoS didn't even have his lapbar lowered enough, because the ride-ops didn't check his portion of the train, assuming that the guests would pull down their own restraints. The man was mentally deficient, and so his restraint was not lowered properly. The people sitting around him had to hold him in his seat. I'd say that's some pretty bad negligence of the safety rules. If only those ride-ops were concerned with the operation of their ride instead of their personal lives, none of this would have happened.

The reason his restraint wasn't checked was in part neglegence, but also in part that he had to be moved from one seat to another. Earlier in the day he was also refused to ride, so yes it was part of six flags neglegence, but also part of his neglegence.

Exactly. As I've said on other news thread replies, Six Flags biggest problem is their inability to properly train employees and create a work environment that makes workers take pride in what they do. They're slackers, and unfortunately, slacking is dangerous in this situation.

It's strange how always in possible court cases, the sides can never agree and both resort to saying the other side has lied about how talks have went.

I don't think the customer is neglegent here. He is not an expert on who can safely ride and who cannot. The customer wants to ride...period. It's up to the park to decide who cannot, post it and enforce it.
