Industry Announcements: S&S unveils their latest thrill ride

Sep. 5th, 2004 -- Amid amusement park representatives and high school students, Stan Checketts, the CEO of S&S Worldwide debuted the company's newest ride, the Air Launched Screamin' Swing.

The ride consists of two poles, each with four seats at the end of them. The poles swing back and forth, getting continually higher, until they've gone as high as they can. Riders reach speeds exceeding 60 miles per hour and undergo G-forces ranging from negative to around 4 Gs. The entire ride lasts a little more then a minute.

Parks in Europe, Florida, and Southern California have already ordered the rides.
