Sep. 15th, 2004 -- DARIEN CENTER, NY - Summer is winding down, but Six Flags Darien Lake is heating up with spectacular fall events! On September 25-26 and October 2-3, Six Flags Darien Lake offers culture and diversity at International Festival. Don't miss three stages of live, specialty entertainment and performances from five different continents, authentic food, craft vendors, ice carvings and plenty of family fun.
Featured at the event are the world-famous and award-winning Acrobats of China, performing four shows daily. Pole climbers, tumblers, jugglers, contortionists, dancers, human pyramids and comedy make up this amazing and visually colorful troupe of acrobats. The acrobats will perform at noon, 2:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. each day of the event.
Countries from five continents will be represented during International Festival including the Boys Choir of Poland, Pueri Cantores Olivenses, who will perform Saturday, October 2 at 6:30 p.m. on the International Stage near the Predator roller coaster.
To pleasure the palates of hungry guests, there will be international cuisine available from traditional authentic dishes to local Buffalo flavor. An old-fashioned keg tapping ceremony kicks off the festivities at noon on the Oktoberfest Stage each day of the event. Guests (21 and over) will have the opportunity to join dignitaries for a special toast! Also, try your luck at daily beer-sliding contests sponsored by Lowenbrau.
The event will be held September 25-26 & October 2-3, from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets are offered at the post-season reduced rate of $15.99 for adults and $9.99 for children. Adults 55 and over (with valid I.D.) and children two and under are FREE.
