I'm glad to know nothing bad happened.
People getting upset at this is pretty ridiculous. You don't see people getting mad when parks have Christian events. You don't see people getting mad when a local union buys the park for a day (an unscheduled operating day, that is).
The fact of the matter is, they just bought out the park on a day when it normally isn't open. Six Flags isn't condoning anything wrong here. I don't see why people are so upset, except to think that there are a lot of racists and intolerant people out there. I can guarantee that if a Christian group bought out the park, people would welcome it with open arms.

I think the park was asking for trouble with this event. First they had to worry about people getting upset as they have. Second with the security measures taken as well as searching bags, the article makes it seem as there were more security measures than normal, so then you have the possibility that the muslims who were there would then complain of unfair treatment. At least nothing bad happened.

To make it fair, they should have had the society to pay to rent out the park.

I'm glad it worked out OK for them.
All the fuss about discrimination was not justified as this is not part of their regular season.

The work ok can be used. Even though they tried to bring in food like chicken and made a mess.

The society did pay to rent it out. That's why the park had no comment about the event. They rented the park and the park didn't care who they were.

Why is SFGAdv renting out the park on a weekend in the summer? Shouldn't they wait a while to start renting the park out?

Phil, it was a Friday, not the weekend. Had Muslim day not been held, then the park would have been closed.

Valleyfair! was rented out on the weekend this past weekend. If a company has deep enough pockets, it's amazing what you can do.

I don't understand why people protested.
What's the difference in a private party having the park all day and this?
I don't see a difference.
I'm glad nothing happened. People just want something to complain about.
