Posted at 5:34 PM EDT (2134 GMT)

Oct. 4th, 2004 -- To commemorate their 75th year, The Henry Ford in Dearborn, MI, has partnered with AOL to create a national poll to determine the greatest innovation of the last 75 years. Disneyland, already enjoying prominence in a new exhibit at The Henry Ford, is one of the top contenders.

Disneyland is part of an elite group of things in poll considered to have a strong chance of grabbing the number one spot. Television, the Internet, and computers are among its competitors. The 75 poll selections cover everything from landmark government policies to medicine to popular TV shows. Included in the assortment is Franklin Roosevelt's New Deal, lasers, CNN, the antidepressant Prozac, even "Sesame Street".

Voting runs from today to October 18. Results will be announced October 21.

To see and vote on all 75 nominees visit AOL Polls. See Yahoo Financial News for the full press release.
