Oct. 6th, 2004 -- A group of business leaders in North Carolina have formed a non-profit group to save the Maggie Valley theme park, Ghost Town in the Sky. The group is seeking around $70,000 to develop a plan to attract a buyer. If a buyer doesn't surface, then the group syas they will try to get enough money to buy the park themselves. Their goal is to re-open the park by any means. Since Ghost Town's closing, many businesses have suffered. For more information, see: Smoky Mountain News
