News: Hong Kong Disneyland to open in 2005

Posted at 11:51 AM EDT (1551 GMT)

Oct. 12th, 2004 -- The Walt Disney Company will open their Hong Kong Disneyland park a year from now, in October of 2005. Disney previously stated that the park would open in 2005 or 2006.

Disney spokespeople still say that the park will open in 2005 or 2006, but COO Robert Iger told the Chamber of Commerce that the park will open in October, less than four years after the ground was broken for the start of the massive project.

The only major attraction is space mountain, no pirates, no mansion, no splash, no anything. disney needs to let imagineers design, and corporate worry about the financing, as opposed to making the imagineers desing within very limiting budgets.

^^ Very sad. what's the point in going then.

Disney is trying to take over the world, sounds like another Disney Paris fiasco.
