Oct. 12th, 2004 -- Fourteen couples, dressed as vampires, bizarre creatures, and even pieces of fruit, got married yesterday at Six Flags Great America, all part of the annual Fright Fest Halloween activities. Decked out in full Halloween costumes, the couples paraded through the park up to a stage, where they were married by Harry Hartell, a retired judge. The park got several calls from people asking to be married during Fright Fest, and so SFGAm decided to make the marriages part of the day's festivities.Afterwards, the couples, along with family and friends, celebrated by riding the park's roller coasters as a way to recognize their commitments.See The Daily Herald for more.
