Posted at 5:45 PM EDT (2145 GMT) Oct. 19th, 2004 -- It's that time of year again. The ever-popular Fright Fest Halloween festivities have made it to the West Coast, bringing a slew of old favorites and some new, creepy additions.
The big new attraction this year is Enter the Asylum, bringing the number of haunted mazes to six. In this new walkthrough attraction, guests journey through, naturally, an asylum, keeping a fence between themselves and the asylum's residents-that is, until the lights go out. Among the returning mazes are Brutal Planet, a science-fiction based haunted walkthrough, and the classic Willoughby's Haunted Mansion. As for rides, the Log Jammer log flume has been turned into Blood Falls, a ride through a haunted summer camp. Colossus once again offers backwards rides, and dark rides now run on the park's major coasters, including Goliath, Viper, Riddler's Revenge, and Scream. Magic Mountain has also added several attractions for younger children. Visit PR Newswire for the press release, pictures, and videos.
